Exit Signs Placement

Outing is an activity that can relieve anyone from any sort of stress. Last week I decided to go out with my cousins. While enjoying, I noticed a number of exit signs. All these signs were placed somewhere around 5 feet from ground. I pointed out my observation to one of my cousins who happens to have a lot of knowledge about Exit signs. He told me that the reason behind such placement was that an average human height is approximately 5 feet. Placing at this height ensures that it is at line of sight and detectable. I also come to know that these signs were mostly fitted near fire extinguisher and first aid kits. This observation made the outing not only fun but turned into an educational trip for me.
